As General Manager of one of Derbyshire's leading conference centres, my role is to ensure that we provide a first class service to both our customers and our own staff.

IT is a service within our deliverable portfolio that is critical to the success of our entire operation and that of our customers. With over twenty established businesses based at our Castle Donington offices alone, uptime and performance of these operations is reliant on the quality of the infrastructure and services that DBS provide.

We have recently used Economit's consultancy services to enable us to better understand our IT infrastructure and associated costs. This is a crucial time for us as we look to grow the number of facilities we offer so we felt it was important to develop a coherent IT strategy now that will enable us to roll out IT services to our new facilities quickly and efficiently. Economit have not only developed this strategy for us but have also identified significant cost savings across literally all elements of our internal IT practises. One example of their project was the research Economit carried out regarding internet connectivity for our Castle Donington location. We were considering a 48 month contract on a leased line which would have cost a substantial amount over a 4 year period and Economit identified a method of us being able to obtain a service that delivered greater bandwidth for only a fraction of the per month on a three month contract.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Economit's independent consultancy. Their service pays for itself from the outset which is the biggest recommendation I can give.
